About Us
Cocina Flamenca LIVE is an annual celebration of flamenco, food, and culture presented by The Flame Foundation. Inspired by Spain’s La Feria de Sevilla, this dynamic outdoor festival brings together world-class flamenco artists, passionate musicians, and renowned chefs for an immersive experience filled with rhythm, flavor, and festivity.
The festival is produced by The Flame Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting flamenco arts and culture. Founded in 2009 by flamenco dancer and theater artist Delilah Buitrón and culinary virtuoso and musician Troy Gardner to promote flamenco and its cultural richness. Since its inception, the foundation has become a key player in bringing flamenco talent to Dallas through its Dallas Flamenco Festival and annual events like Fiesta Flamenca shows and Cocina Flamenca LIVE, choreographed by Maestro Antonio Arrebola.
Now in its 16th year, The Flame Foundation continues its mission by expanding the flamenco experience beyond the stage and into the community with Cocina Flamenca LIVE. This festival fuses mesmerizing live performances with authentic Spanish cuisine, offering audiences a chance to experience the passion and artistry of flamenco up close. Guests can enjoy dazzling performances from renowned international and local artists, indulge in paella prepared by expert chefs, and take part in a vibrant cultural experience unlike any other.
Cocina Flamenca LIVE is made possible through the support of Ochre House Theater, the Office of Cultural Affairs, The Moody Fund for the Arts, and generous patrons who share a passion for keeping flamenco alive.
